WANDER: Downtown Mesquite Market at Front Street Station
Community happens at the Downtown Mesquite Market every Saturday from April through November.
What began as the Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market in 2021 has grown into something special for the Far East Dallas community. Now known as the Downtown Mesquite Market, this Saturday tradition brings together local makers, growers, and small business owners in the heart of Historic Downtown Mesquite, tucked just behind the Main Street businesses on Front Street.
We're regulars for the Asian fusion cookies from @BeanBearBake, pickled serrano garlic from The Happy Cucumber, and the best sourdough focaccia we've ever found from @mapleandbluebonnet. Our latest favorite? A handmade crochet bag from @madebyabilene, customized down to the colors and lining.
The market is also helping small businesses grow beyond their 10' x 10' booths. After one full season of Market Saturdays, local favorite Bien Boba made the leap from market vendor to a brick-and-mortar business near Town East Mall in Mesquite.

That's what makes this market special. You're not just buying something. You're meeting the person behind it, supporting their craft, and taking home something made with intention and care.
Add fresh food and drinks, live music, dance performances, and free activities for all ages, and you've got a pretty great way to spend a Saturday.
The setting makes it even better. Front Street Station sits along the historic railroad corridor where Mesquite's story began in 1873. Today, that same stretch of Downtown Mesquite brings people together for an entirely new reason. And did I mention the abundant free parking?
